How to Get to the Santa Fe Childrens Museum
Driving directions
Coming from I-25 (Albuquerque or Las Vegas):
Exit I-25 at Old Pecos Trail. Turn north on Old Pecos Trail and continue for about 3 miles. We are on the left. (Be sure to stay right on Old Pecos Trail when it splits off from St. Michael’s Drive. We are 1.4 miles from that intersection.)
Coming from Espanola/Taos on 285:
285 becomes St. Francis Drive within the city. Driving south on St. Francis, turn left on Cordova Road. Go about 1.1 miles to Old Pecos Trail and turn left. We are one block up on the left.
From the Rail Runner
From Santa Fe Depot/Railyard Depot
Take Santa Fe Trails (City Bus) Route 4 to downtown. Buy a day pass or tell the driver you intend to transfer. At transfer station, take Route 6. Tell driver you want to get off at Barcelona Street. At Barcelona Street, walk east (toward the mountains) about .3 miles. We are on the left at the intersection of Barcelona and Old Pecos Trail. NOTE: Getting back to the bus route requires you walk back the way you came, plus another city block, to Galisteo Street.
OR, get on the “Santa Fe Pick-Up” shuttle (operated by the City of Santa Fe Parking Division) and tell the driver you want to get off at Old Santa Fe Trail. Walk south on Old Santa Fe Trail, keeping right as it becomes Old Pecos Trail, about .75 miles. We are on the right. NOTE: This way requires walking up a hill!
From South Capitol Station
Take Santa Fe Trails (City Bus) Route 4 or Route 2 to downtown. Buy a day pass or tell the driver you intend to transfer. At transfer station, take Route 6. Tell driver you want to get off at Barcelona Street. At Barcelona Street, walk east (toward the mountains) about .3 miles. We are on the left at the intersection of Barcelona and Old Pecos Trail. Walking from downtown:
From the Plaza, walk south on Old Santa Fe Trail, take a left on Water Street and a quick right back onto Old Santa Fe Trail. Stay on Old Santa Fe Trail, keeping right as it becomes Old Pecos Trail, about .9 miles. We are on the right. NOTE: This way requires walking up a hill!
